Erika Shea joins the Reimagining Energy Podcast to share New Dawn’s approach to energy poverty as a nonprofit social enterprise

How can a small community become an international example of how to approach energy poverty?

New Dawn President and CEO, Erika Shea joined Maria McGowan, host of the Reimagining Energy Podcast, to share New Dawn’s innovative journey—from retrofitting buildings for energy efficiency to embracing renewable energy solutions—all while confronting the urgent issue of energy poverty that burdens many local households. Erika also shared advice for other social enterprises and talked about New Dawn’s exciting plans, including new construction projects and ambitious community solar initiatives.

We are in Unama’ki, one of the seven traditional and unceded ancestral territories of the people of Mi’kma’ki. This territory is covered by the Treaties of Peace and Friendship which the Mi’kmaq first signed with the British Crown in 1726.
