About
CBRM’s Coordinated Access System brings together participating service providers to work together to prevent and reduce homelessness. We do this by collecting information about the client’s current living situation and housing needs, and securely sharing it among participating services providers in order to match the client with the most appropriate housing and support services.
The client’s information is securely stored in a database called HIFIS (Homeless Individuals and Families Information System) and is only be used by participating service providers to help match the client with housing and support services.
Participating service providers include:
- Cape Breton Community Housing Association
- Elizabeth Fry Society of Cape Breton
- Every Woman’s Centre
- New Dawn
- Ally Centre
- Jane Paul Centre
- Community Action on Homelessness
